Education: Antoch University New England, M.S.; Western Washington University, B.A.
Suzanne Gray joined St. Paul’s Academy in 2015. She revels in connecting students to the natural world through exploration and scientific investigation. She grew up roaming the south central Cascade mountains and the forests of Maine. She loves to share a passion for learning about, asking questions, and understanding the world we live in.
Suzanne earned a degree in Environmental Education from Western Washington University and worked as a Field Science Educator for NatureBridge before returning to school to earn an M.S. in Environmental Studies and Biology Education through Antioch University New England. She then taught middle school science in Sequim. After having children, she moonlighted as a Part Time Environmental Science Instructor for Peninsula College, Seattle Central Community College, and Huxley College before finding St. Paul’s Academy.
In her spare time she gardens, explores local beaches and forests with her family, plays soccer, and skis.
A favorite saying: “If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.” ~ Rachel Carson
