Mathematics for Middle School and Upper School

Education: Central Washington University B.Ed., Western Washington University M.Ed.

Robert (Bob) Jorgenson joined the St. Paul’s community in 2011 as an upper school mathematics teacher.  A veteran of the Bellingham education community, Bob taught in the Bellingham School District for thirty years.  He and his wife, Maureen, have recently returned from nine years teaching in Zurich, Switzerland.  While they enjoyed life in Europe, they were also happy to return to their home in Bellingham.  Their son Kjell is a graduate of Bellingham High School and is an Internal Medicine physician at California Pacific Hospital in San Francisco, California.

Bob enjoys the friendly learning environment and close student relationships that St. Paul’s fosters.  After nine years teaching International Baccalaureate Mathematics in Switzerland and working as an I.B. Higher Level Examiner for Mathematics, Bob continues to integrate many I.B. activities into his teaching practice.

In his free time Bob enjoys skiing with his wife and son, jogging with his dog Bailey, fishing for crab in Chuckanut Bay, and cooking dinner for friends at home.
