Jr. K 5 Day and 5 Day PM Enrichment
Olivia Dizon was born and raised in the Philippines where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She started teaching as a First grade teacher two months after she graduated from the University. She taught different grade levels for several years until she moved to the United States.
While working as a childcare teacher in Bellingham, Olivia went to school at night, earning her Washington State Teaching Certificate K-12. This led to work as a substitute teacher at various grade levels within both elementary and middle schools. This experience combined with her teaching in the Philippines allowed her to bring the best education practices of two cultures into the classroom and to help Olivia grow professionally.
She has been a teacher in Little Epistles Preschool since December 2011. She enjoys teaching children and watching them grow emotionally, academically, physically, and mentally. Being with the children is always a blessing for her and she is amazed at how their natural curiosity leads them to new learning. The children make her feel good with their laughter and hugs.
Olivia loves baking and cooking new recipes during her free time. She also likes reading and painting and enjoys doing crafts such as knitting, crocheting and sewing.
