
Matt Siemion

Mr. Matt Siemion was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. Beginning when he was 12, he spent 30 consecutive summers commercially fishing for salmon in Chignik, Alaska. He graduated magna cum laude from Seattle University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in English Literature and K-12 instruction. He received his professional teaching certification from Western Washington University in 2006. Mr. Siemion holds endorsements in English and Visual Arts. Mr. Siemion joined the St. Paul’s community at the beginning of the 2000-2001 school year. While at St. Paul’s Academy, he has taught 4th grade and, more currently, middle and high school writing, literature, social studies, and visual art courses. He enjoys organizing field trips and has taken numerous student groups overseas to London, England, and more locally to Canoe Island French Camp, NatureBridge, and Camp Black Mountain. Mr. Siemion enjoys playing basketball, soccer, and an occasional cross-country motorcycle ride.
