Spanish Teacher, Upper School
Education: Seattle University, B.A. Spanish, Western Washington University, M.Ed
Lesley Smith joined St. Paul’s Academy in 2015. She was born in San Diego, California. For the first 18 years of life she lived with a native Spanish speaker. This was the starting point of her teaching career. She graduated from Seattle University with a degree in Spanish, later moving to Bellingham to complete a Master’s degree in Education. She taught two years of high school Spanish and then took a break to stay home while her daughters were young.
Lesley is very excited to be teaching Spanish once again to high school students. She finds their energy contagious and hopes to inspire them to love the Spanish language and culture. Also, she wants to inspire students to travel abroad.
She is a dedicated wife and mother. With her free time Lesley enjoys spending time outdoors.
