Kindergarten Teacher

Education: B.S. in Elementary Education from Iowa State University

Jodi Roth was born and raised in the small midwestern town of Creston, Iowa.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Iowa State University.  She relocated to Bellingham in 2000, and has nine years teaching experience ranging from Pre-K to fifth grade. She has been teaching at St. Paul’s Academy since 2008 at the kindergarten and Pre-K levels.  Kindergarten is her favorite age, as it is so exciting to be an integral part of the process of children learning to read and become members of a larger community of learners. She finds working with the children and families of Saint Paul’s Academy incredibly rewarding, and especially appreciates the level of family involvement within the school community.

When she is not teaching, Jodi enjoys family time with her husband, Craig, and two children Cody and Jaycie.  They love to travel all over the world, golf, and spend time with their sweet dog, Lulu.

A favorite saying: “The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.”  ~ Mark VanDoren
