8th Grade Physical Science and 7th Grade Life Science Teacher

Education: Illinois State University, B.S. or Physiological Psychology and Western Washington University of Environmental Studies

George Juszynski came to St. Paul’s Academy in November of 2015. As a scientist, he is excited to teach Biology to 8th graders and instill enjoyment  for a subject that has transformed his life.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in physiological psychology from Illinois State University and Bachelor of Science in environmental studies from Western Washington University (WWU).  Juszynski’s Master of Science thesis is about using sketchmaps to discover hidden geographies of individuals’ health neighborhoods.  He worked for 25 years as a manger of clinical neurophysiology and sleep disorders clinics.  He has taught biology at WWU and geocaching for Western’s Odyssey of Science program.    

When he is not at work, George enjoys sailing and being involved within the maker movement. He and his son, Max, are currently building version nine of an electricity producing windmill.
