Christine Lyzwinski was born and raised in Bellingham, WA. She attended Pepperdine University and received a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with an emphasis in European Studies. She continued her education at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology where she obtained her K-8 teaching certificate and her Master of Arts in Education. She taught four years of Kindergarten in Richmond, B.C., Canada and moved to the United States in 1998 where she taught a First and Second Grade class in the Burlington-Edison School District. She also wrote and published a character education curriculum for Kindergarten aged children for the State of California. Chris comes from a family of educators with her three sisters being elementary school teachers as well. Her father taught at Western Washington University for over thirty years and instilled in her the love of being a lifetime learner and educator.
It is Chris’ belief that each and every child is special and capable. It is her desire as an educator to instill in her students a love for learning that will continue on throughout their years in school and as an adult. She strives to make her classroom a nurturing and fun hands-on learning environment and feels blessed to work with such wonderful families at St. Paul’s Academy. Her daughter currently attends St. Paul’s Academy and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to teach in the school that has made such an impact on her children with its academic excellence.
When not in the classroom, Chris spends her free time with her husband, Piotr and her children, Cody and Téa. The family loves to travel together and enjoys skiing at Mt. Baker during the winter.
