Chelsea Ginder grew up in a small town in Montana, but graduated high school in Oak Harbor. She attended Washington State University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is currently finishing up her Master’s Degree in Literacy.
After spending some time substitute teaching and working as a mentor in the AVID program, Chelsea took a position at Sylvan Learning. She was the Center Director and Director of Education for the Sylvan in Mount Vernon and Bellingham for about six years. Last spring, she came to St. Paul’s as a leave replacement in first grade.
Chelsea’s second-grade daughter attends St. Paul’s and appreciates the learning environment the school puts forth not only from the eyes of a teacher, but also as a parent. Her favorite part of teaching at St. Paul’s is having opportunities for children to grow as learners and as individuals. Chelsea loves watching students’ confidence grow as they tackle new ideas and test out different genres, writing styles, and science experiments.
When Chelsea isn’t teaching, she spends as much time as possible with her daughter, husband, and their pets. She enjoys searching for rocks on the beach, golfing, hiking, reading new books, and having movie nights.
