5th Grade Teacher

Education: Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA. B.A. English, B.A. Elementary Education K-8.

Amy Venter came to St. Paul’s Academy in 2014. She was born and raised in Bellingham.  After graduating from Sehome High School, she attended Whatcom Community College and Western Washington University.  After obtaining her teaching certificate and graduating from Western, she left the United States to teach abroad.    

She has always had a strong desire to work with children.  Amy has been a coach for a variety of sports, volunteered time in classrooms, substituted and has taught multiple ages in various locations.  She loves teaching and really enjoys the “Ah-ha!” moments that her students have.  She is glad to be part of an enthusiastic and welcoming community that truly values education. When she is not working Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.  She loves to travel, cook, garden, read, listen to music, and hang out at the beach.
