Education: Western Washington University, B.A. of Education and Whatcom Community College, A.A.S

Sinak Pickerill grew up in Wenatchee, Washington and moved up to Bellingham after graduating from high school in 2004.  She attended Whatcom Community College and earned her Direct Transfer Associates’ Degree.  She then transferred to Western Washington University and graduated in 2010 with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  After graduation, Sinak was able to substitute teach at St. Paul’s Academy and the Bellingham, Ferndale, and Blaine school districts.  After ten months of substituting, she was hired by Little Epistles Preschool for their Extended Care Program.  Two years later, the Extended Care Program was discontinued.  Sinak then was able to take a year leave of absence and had her baby boy, Max, in the summer of 2012.  She returned to Little Epistles’ Preschool in the Fall of 2014 and taught in the 3 year old classroom.  Presently, Sinak is teaching the three day Pre-K class and Toddler class.

Sinak has been working with young children for over fifteen years. She enjoys teaching young children because they are eager to learn new things and excited to be at school.  When Sinak is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends.  She loves to read a variety of genres, bake, and enjoys going on walks through many beautiful trails and parks that Bellingham has to offer with her son and husband.

A favorite saying: “There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind, the second way is to be kind, and the third way is to be kind.” ~  Mister Rogers
