3rd Grade Teacher

Education: City University of Seattle, Masters in Teaching, Elementary Education; Berklee College of Music, Bachelors of Music, Music Business

Meghan Galvin grew up on Lummi Island here in Washington State.  She spent her childhood learning and playing the violin and piano, dreaming of attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.  Her dream came true when she graduated high school and got accepted into her college of choice in 2000.  She spent the next four years studying all forms and genres of music, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelors of Music.

She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2004 to begin her work in music, on the business side.  She worked for a variety of different composers, as well as for a music management firm, before realizing her heart and soul belonged back in Washington State where she had grown up.

Meghan moved back to Bellingham in 2007 where she spent the next year focusing on raising her son Elijah, before going back to school to get her Masters in Teaching and her Elementary Education endorsement from City University in Seattle.  Meghan has taught Kindergarten, 1st grade and music for the last five years, with her most recent position being a Kindergarten and 1st grade teacher at Torah Day School in Seattle, Washington from 2013 until 2015.

When she isn’t in the classroom teaching, Meghan spends time with her husband, Cody and their two children, Elijah (7) and Sophie (3).  She is looking forward to this next year teaching 3rd grade at St. Paul’s Academy.
